Dr. Stefano Paolacci is working as a researcher for MAGI’S LAB, Rovereto (Italy) and focusing his research on genetic vascular malformations, obesity, and rare genetic disorders.
He obtained the bachelor degree in Biological Sciences in 2010 and the master degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology in 2012 at the “Sapienza”, University of Rome. In the same university, he received his PhD in Human Biology and Medical Genetics in 2017. In 2016 he spent a research period as visiting PhD student in the Academic Medical Centre of Amsterdam, department of Pediatrics. During the experimental thesis and the PhD he studied RASopathies and Zimmermann-Laband syndrome.
Until now he has published 9 papers on peer-reviewed international journals about the identification and study of the molecular bases of genetic disorders through Next Generation Sequencing approaches.
